Aimed at teens, this romantic comedy-drama is worth watching for the lighthearted angst it provides.To enjoy it fully, you don’t need to complicate or over think things. Allow yourself to be swept up in the excitement, drama, and enjoy the sight of youth and love. Listen to the drama’s original soundtrack as well. You will be tapping your toes in time to the upbeat tune in no time. Trust me when I say that the OST will not let you down.

Side Effects:

The entire time! Prepare to giggle uncontrollably. This drama has many heartwarming moments that will leave you breathless even if you’re not a fan of the “Boys Over Flowers” subgenre.

Cast & Chemistry:

While this drama is primarily about love, rivalry and conflict, there are hints of a bromance throughout. The male actors’ chemistry is also fantastic. The acting is also excellent, which is probably why I stuck with this drama all the way to the end, despite the cliched and overused concept. Park So Dam, the female lead, stood out from the scenes.

2.5 Pills: Addictive! Yes, you will be able to use the restroom, but only because you have to, not because you want to miss a thing!

In this modern spin of the classic Cinderella tale, Eun Ha Won (Park So Dam) has three handsomely rich suitors and a similarly handsome bodyguard surrounding her. When Eun Ha Won’s stepmother and stepsister mistreat her, she is presented with an opportunity of a lifetime, from a not-so-fairy godfather, to achieve her lifelong goal of independence. That’s more than enough to root for drama right there! Eun Ha Won brings a balance to the mansion that helps to keep these heartthrobs in check, without them even knowing that she is moving on their behalves. And these modern day knights give her the security and encouragement she needs to believe in herself- making for a win-win situation for both sides.

Every episode contains both humorous and heartbreaking moments. In addition to being upbeat and entertaining, it also has some quirky and cringe-worthy scenes. But don’t worry, the heartwarming moments will leave you breathless, even if you’re not a fan of the “Boys Over Flowers” subgenre. It’s worth noting that the film’s entertainment value lies in the fact that it never drags, despite what some viewers may think.

Although it’s a modern-day drama, the story incorporates some original fairy tale elements. These cliches are used to good effect; however, there isn’t anything off-putting about it. Soundtrack-wise, the film did an excellent job. The soundtrack for this show is fantastic, and it is nice to hear it often, asit creates a happy, nostalgic and heartwarming atmosphere!
