Today’s press conference for the 2022 MAMA Awards, formerly MNet Asian Music Awards, revealed special stars you’ll definitely want to watch.
ARMYs are in for a treat today as it’s been revealed that 5x Grammy-nominated band BTS’ J-Hope will perform his solo music for the first time on broadcast at the MAMA Awards. Chief Producer Yoon Shin Hye shared, “He received rave reviews at home and abroad for releasing a solo album for the first time among BTS members and conveying his new growth and honest inner story. In this ‘Mama’, J-Hope’s solo stage will be revealed for the first time on air. I always think of Mama’s stage as a legend, but this time, J-Hope is said to be practicing hard to create a stage that will go down in MAMA’s history.”
Kpop fans can also look forward to the prepared collaboration stages. (G)I-DLE is confirmed to perform with the rock band Jaurim. Stray Kids’ 3RACHA, leader Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, team up with Tiger JK and Squid Game music producer Jung Jae Il for a genre-integrated collaboration. 4th generation girl groups IVE, Kep1er, NMIXX, Le Sserafim, and NewJeans will also stand on one stage.
The new MAMA Awards will be held for two days, on November 29th and 30th, at Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan.
