After multiple accounts claimed that BTS member V was spotted at France’s Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, his music label BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed that the idol will attend the ongoing prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
According to a source from BIG HIT, “V visited France to participate in a fashion pictorial and event for luxury brand Celine that will be carried out in France.”
The agency also added that “V will be participating at the Cannes Film Festival as part of his scheduled activity in France as well as at the invitation of Celine.”
However, BIG HIT released a clarification about V’s participation in the film festival. According to the label, V will “not make an appearance on the red carpet at the ‘Cannes Film Festival’.”
Because of V’s confirmed attendance at the Cannes, K-pop fans all over the world are interested to see if there will be another sighting of him and BLACKPINK member Jennie. She will also be at the glitzy event with her co-stars from HBO’s upcoming drama, “The Idol.”
On May 17, the global K-pop sensations were allegedly spotted and videoed holding hands and walking romantically along France’s River Seine by French photographer Amar Taoualit. It reignited the long-running romance rumors between the two.
V’s agency HYBE and Jennie’s label YG Entertainment neither confirmed nor denied the alleged relationship. “It is difficult to check [regarding this matter on the artists’ private lives],” both agencies stated.
