If you’re a KPop fan and a student of Auburn University or from Auburn, Alabama, well, I’ve got the greatest news for you!
The Auburn University Office of International Programs collaborated with the Korea Center-King Sejong Institute to bring a fantastic event for all (in Auburn). On April 2, they will host a K-Pop party at the Telfair B. Peet Theater on Auburn’s campus.
And get this! Aside from the free event, it’s open to Auburn students, faculty and staff, AND the general public. You know what that means! K-Pop fans in the vicinity are encouraged to attend!
The K-Pop party is in celebration of Korean pop music. They will hold a contest for individuals or groups who wish to display their musical talents. Even if you don’t know anything about K-Pop, the KC-KSI has free K-Pop classes for you to attend, which they’ll hold on February 22 and March 15. These classes will be on Zoom and are from 6:40 to 7:10.
According to the Auburn University Newsroom, the February 22 class will cover BTS’ hit song Butter. The March 15 class will teach you Jessi’s Cold Blooded.
The K-Pop Party Bonanza will be held on April 2, from 5 to 8 pm. If you’ve got inquiries about the K-Pop part, you may contact the KC-KSI at auksi@auburn.edu.
