Catwalk model-turned-breakout actress Jung Ho-yeon has been cast for her next TV project after the highly-successful “Squid Game.”
The actress, who now goes by the name Hoyeon, is the latest addition in the stellar cast of Alfonso Cuaron’s upcoming Disney+ drama “Disclaimer,” alongside A-listers like Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Sacha Baron Cohen.
“Disclaimer” is based on the novel of the same title written by Renee Knight. It centers on the story of Blanchett’s character Catherine Ravenscroft, a well-respected and successful TV documentarist who became a household name for exposing hidden crimes of an established institution. But her life turned upside down when a mysterious novel written by a widower, played by Kline, suddenly appears in her bedroom. She was astounded when she discovered her main participation in a story that she wanted to forget.
Hoyeon will portray the role of the character named Kim. She is described as Catherine’s highly ambitious and hardworking staff who is always eager to please her superior. She believes that working for Catherine will help her reach her dreams.
The casting addition is the latest achievement under the actress’ cap. It came after bagging the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series in the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
