Aside from group achievements, BLACKPINK member Jennie hits another YouTube milestone when she became the first female K-pop soloist to generate 900 million views for her song “Solo” on Tuesday, March 21.
The groundbreaking feat was reached by Jennie’s individual project four years and four months after BLACKPINK’s agency YG Entertainment uploaded it on YouTube.
“Solo,” is a song about a woman who chose not to live in sadness after a failed relationship and opted to enjoy her newfound independence became a huge hit after its release in 2018.
Jennie and the rest of BLACKPINK have their hands full due to their ongoing BORN PINK world tour. They are also busy preparing to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the US in April and the British Summer Time Hyde Park in the UK in July.
