BigHit Music, the agency behind the superhit KPop boy bands BTS and Tomorrow X Together (TXT) and singer Lee Hyun, plans to launch the next-generation boy band through a series of global auditions.
In a company announcement released Monday, the agency revealed that they will begin the “2022 BigHit Music Global Audition” online and offline until September this year.
Males of any nationality and residence born in 2022 or later may join the audition. They can try out for various categories, including rap, vocal, dance, or producing to prove their potential as the next KPop sensation.
The offline auditions will be conducted in Los Angeles, California on June 25. It will be followed by another audition in Toronto, Canada on July 2, Sydney, Australia on July 16, Bangkok, Thailand, on July 30, Taipei, Taiwan on August 13, and Tokyo, Japan on September 3. The series of auditions will culminate in Seoul on September 18.
Pre-registration to participate in the auditions is not necessary, so those who plan to be part of the search can show up at the designated venues during their schedule. They must expect to get comments on their dancing and singing skulls from BigHit Music’s casting executives.
Those who cannot be part of the offline auditions can also join by submitting audition videos through the company’s website. Other details about the talent search are also viewable on the site.
BigHit is known for conducting worldwide auditions annually since 2018. However, only the online events remain in 2020 and 2021 because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
