Jeon Jungkook of KPop Titans BTS set a Guinness World Record before his official debut.
On Monday, Yonhap News reported BTS’ Maknae became the fastest KPop soloist to surpass 1 billion streams on the global music streaming service Spotify through Instagram. According to the music industry, World Guinness Records recently announced on its official website that “Jungkook achieved 1 billion streams with only three songs on March 27.”
Jungkook’s Guinness is the culmination of his tracks, “Stay Alive,” the track for their webtoon 7Fates: CHAKHO, “Left and Right,” a collaboration with American pop star and producer Charlie Puth, and “Dreamers,” the official FIFA World Cup 2022 soundtrack.
He achieved this record on March 27, 409 days after the songs’ release dates, dethroning BLACKPINK’s Lisa, who reached 1 billion streams in 411 days.
Jungkook will have his solo debut and release his solo album this year, though the date has yet to be set.
