According to the British reference book Guinness World of Records, BTS member Park Jimin now holds three titles.
It’s been reported that his 2018 single “Promise,” is the most streamed song on the streaming service SoundCloud, with 330 million plays as of June 2023. It is the first self-written song to remain the most-streamed track within twenty-four hours of its release at 8.5 million. Jimin’s famous track dethrones rapper Drake’s “Duppy Freestyle,” which had 4.9 million streams.
He also replaced the record set by Jungkook for reaching 1 billion streams on Spotify by reaching a billion streams in only 393 days with his solo tracks, which gained momentum with the release of his first solo EP, “Face.”
He now holds 2 New Guinness World Records with “Promise,” the most-streamed track on SoundCloud in 24 hours and 330 million plays, and holds the record for Fastest Solo KPop Artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify (Male).
