On Wednesday, the teaser photo of BTS Suga’s pre-release track was uploaded on their Twitter page, showing Suga playing the keyboard in his studio with the track title and release date written.
Suga will release his track “People Pt.2,” featuring nation’s little sister IU, days before the release of his first official solo album “D-DAY.”
According to a press release, the upcoming track featuring singer-songwriter IU is an extension of Agust D’s track “People” from his second mixtape. This marks the second collaboration between the two artists as Suga produced and was featured in IU’s 2020 track “Eight.”
The track “People Pt.2” expresses the endless relationships between people and the emotions felt in an Agust D way. The song features boom-bap rhythms, and the track harmonizes Suga’s rapping and IU’s clear voice.
Suga will release People Pt.2 (feat. IU) on Friday and his album “D-DAY” on April 21, 2023. “D-DAY” is the culmination of the Agust D trilogy, following the release of two mixtapes, “Agust D” in 2016 and “D-2” in 2020.
Suga will embark on his first solo world tour, “Agust D Tour,” starting April 26 with performances in the US, Bangkok, Singapore, and Seoul.
