BTS members may be on hiatus from group activities, but the K-pop supergroup will reunite to release an official soundtrack for the animation series “Bastions,” the series production company Thymos Media confirmed Friday, April 14.
“Bastions” is a 3D animated TV series that centers on the story of a new superhero who discovered the identity of a baddie who causes environmental destruction. The rookie will eventually grow and turn into a real hero by saving the planet Earth.
“BTS is expected to provide an overwhelming sense of immersion to the emotions and action scenes of the series by singing the theme song in perfect harmony,” the production company said.
It will be the first group single for BTS as a team after “Yet To Come” in June 2022.
Aside from BTS, other K-pop acts like girl group Le Sserafim and solo artists AleXa and Heize will contribute to the OST of the upcoming animated series.
“Bastions” will premiere on SBS on May 14.
