A major casting change in the upcoming drama “Money Game” will take place involving lead actress IU, Studio N confirmed Friday, May 27.
The studio revealed that IU will no longer join the star-studded cast due to conflicts in schedule. She was supposed to join stellar actors including Ryu Jun Yeol, Park Hae Joon, Park Jung Min, Lee Joo Young, Bae Sung Woo, Moon Jung Hee, and Lee Yul Eum.
Due to IU’s departure from the drama, the “Be Melodramatic” star Chun Woo Hee will step in and take over the role.
“Money Game” is based on Bae Jin Soo’s popular webtoons. It will focus on the story about a game where eight players must undergo extreme circumstances to win. They must collect and keep as much money as possible before the end of the game. But before they can finish the competition, someone needs to die first.
Cameras will start rolling for “Money Game” in mid-June.
