Singer-actress Kim Min Ju might make her acting comeback through a new historical romance drama “Joseon’s Ban on Marriage” (working title) from MBC, media outlets revealed Wednesday, June 8.
If the former IZ*ONE member accepted the offer, it will serve as her comeback acting project after starring in an independent film titled “The Fault Is Not Yours” in 2019.
The sageuk drama will also star Kim Young Dae, Park Joo Hyun, and Kwon Hyun Bin, among others.
“Joseon’s Ban on Marriage,” based on a renowned web novel of the same title, features a historical romance about a young king who declared a ban on marriage in Joseon when he lost his wife. One day, a con woman claimed that the spirit of the deceased queen entered her body and presented herself to the king.
Kim Min Ju’s role and other details about the drama remain under wraps. MBC is also expected to premiere the drama before the end of the year.
