EXO member Xiumin will star in a brand-new drama seven years after his last acting project.
News reports revealed Wednesday, September 14, that the idol-turned-actor bagged the lead role in a new drama titled “Sajandol Mart.” His agency SM Entertainment immediately released a statement to confirm the report.
“Sajangdol Mart” will present multiple stories that unfold featuring ex-idol group members who work together to run and manage a supermarket.
The new drama will be directed by “Best Mistake” PD Lee Yoo Yeon.
Xiumin first showed his acting prowess in the 2015 drama “Falling for Challenge.” He also starred in the movie “Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River” in 2016.
Aside from his highly-anticipated TV drama return, Xiumin is also busy with his long-awaited solo debut with the album “Brand New.”
Details about the “Sajangdol Mart” broadcast premiere are expected to be announced in the coming days.
