After rumors circulated that idol group Highlight is gearing up for an upcoming comeback, their agency Around Us Entertainment released a statement Thursday, September 8, to put an end to all speculations.
According to rumors, the quarter is preparing to make their highly-anticipated comeback by releasing a new album before the end of 2022.
But in a statement, the boyband’s agency said, “Nothing has been confirmed regarding a comeback within the year.”
The group’s latest activities included the one in March, when they dropped their first full-length studio album, “DAYDREAM.” They also had a concert titled “INTRO” back in May.
At the moment, the members of the boyband are busy with their individual projects. Member Yoo Doojoon turned into acting when he appeared in the drama “Never Give Up.” while his film “Honest Candidate 2” will be released in theaters in late September. Meanwhile, Lee Gikwang is currently hosting the “Music Plaza” radio program and is part of “IDOLLIVE School 3.” On the other hand, Yang Yoseobis is seen in “My Playlist” and KBS N’s “Special Delivery 2.” Finally, Song Donwoon’s latest drama “Today’s Webtoon” is currently airing and his second mini album titled “Happy Birthday” just came out on the market.
Fans may also see the band together again during their “022 Highlight Fan Con scheduled on October 15 and 16.
