Shortly after leaving YG Entertainment, the six members of iKON signed exclusive collective contracts at 143 Entertainment.
Several reports stated that Bobby, Kim Jin-hwan, Song Yun-Hyung, Kim Dong-hyuk, Koo Jun-hoe, and Jung Chan-woo emphasized the unchanging ‘one team.’ They stated, “We worked together with the members under the premise of never breaking activities as a full group, and we communicated with 143 Entertainment, a DM producer who has had musical sympathy for a long time.”
General producer Digital Masta, or DM, founded 143 Entertainment and is known for housing other powerhouses such as famous girl group Kep1er members Mashiro and Kang Ye-Seo. DM stated, “I feel reassured to be a member of the Korean family with an icon with unrivaled talent and energy.”
143 Entertainment agreed with YG Entertainment that the six members of iKON would keep their name and make a comeback as iKON. The members intended to join one agency so they could resume their group promotions.
iKONics can anticipate the beloved idol group’s return as they plan to release an album in April 2023.
