A new drama featuring Kim Dong Wook and Jin Ki Joo is in the works, KBS2 confirmed Tuesday, May 24.
The network revealed that the actors will be part of the upcoming drama called “You, Whom I Met By Chance” (literal title).
The new drama will tell the story of a man who travels to the past to learn the truth about a series of murders. He will meet a woman who also travels back in time to stop her parents’ wedding. During their time travel, the two will get stuck in 1987.
In the upcoming drama, Kim Dong Wook will give life to the character named Yoon Hae Joon. He is a simple and level-headed person who became the youngest news anchor of a weekend 9 o’clock news after working as a local news reporter. Aside from being a quick thinker, he is also known for his warm personality and handsome looks.
Meanwhile, Jin Ki Joo will play the role of a regular city girl named Baek Yoon Young. She often unleashes her work-related stress on her mother and wants to change everything that happened to her in the past.
“You, Whom I Met By Chance” will be helmed by “The Tale of Nokdu” director Kang Soo Yeon and written by scriptwriter Baek So Yeon. It is slated to premiere in the second half of 2022.
