Netflix’s Squid Game phenomenon is far from over, and it continues to top the charts in more than ninety countries. With the rise of KDrama and KPop, the Korean Cultural Center in Chicago decided to ride the tide and come up with a Squid Game Event.

The Chicago Korean Education Center and the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago’s Junior Ambassador Youth Volunteer Group are in charge of the event. In providing a wholesome experience, the event will feature six-game stations: Ppopgi or Dalgona cracking, the Marble games, Ddakji or the paper folding game, the Tug of War, and Red Light Green Light.

The event will take place at the Cultural Center, the specific areas being the Event Hall, the Center Park, the Gallery, and Museum.

KDrama addicts and newbies can cast their worries aside as the setting will be family-friendly and open to all ages. There is no element of bloodlust, only a place to learn more about Korean culture.

The post on EventBrite stated that sharing food is prohibited due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The prices to be won in the games are Korean Snacks.

The event will take place at the KCCoC, 9930 Capitol Drive

Wheeling, IL 60090 on November 6, 2021, from 2 pm to 6 pm. You will need to pre-register to attend the event.

With KDrama and KPop taking over, many fans can rejoice with cultural centers creating such events to make learning Korean culture easier and enjoyable.
