U-KISS’s Hoon surprised fans on Friday, May 6, after his agency Tango Music announced his plans to marry ex-Girl’s Day member Hwang Ji Seon before the end of May.
According to Hoon’s agency Tango Music, the KPop artists decided to spend the rest of their lives together after dating for a long time.
The agency also announced that the couple will tie the knot in an undisclosed location in Seoul on May 29. The event will be kept private, with only their parents and close family and friends in attendance.
“As they embark on a special life start following this precious decision, we ask that you give warm encouragement and blessings for their future,” the agency added.
Hoon also shared the happy news with his fans through a handwritten letter posted on his Instagram account.
According to his letter, it took a long time for him to gather enough courage to pen a note because he want to personally share the news with his fans.
“By sharing this news, more than anything, I worry that my fans who cherish me more than anyone might feel upset. Since my fans’ love and support is the biggest reason why I’m able to be here today, I feel that much more careful.
However, I think it’s right that I share life’s important decisions with fans. While you must have been surprised at this sudden news, this is a road I’ve decided on after a lot of consideration, so with the belief that you will send support and blessings, I’m getting up the courage to say this.
To be honest, I have a girlfriend I’m dating. I want to introduce her for the first time through this letter. Her name is Hwang Ji Seon and she may be someone you all already know through her wide variety of promotions. I grew determined to spend forever with the person who more than anything, respects my work, helps my family, and really, really cherishes the fans who love and support me, so we will be holding a wedding on May 29.”

Hoon also promised his fans that he will not leave U-KISS anytime soon. He also vowed to repay all the love and support given to him. He also thanked everyone who supported his decision and prayed for his happiness.
Hoon, whose real name is Yeo Hoon Min, joined U-Kiss as the lead vocalist in 2011, two years after debuting as a ballad singer. Hwang Ji Seon, on the other hand, debuted as one of the original members of Girl’s Day in 2010 but left the group after two months. She debuted as one of the members of S#aFLA in 2018.
