Whales unite! ASTORY President Lee Sang Baek confirms that Extraordinary Attorney Woo is renewed for season 2. ASTORY is the production company behind the hit series currently dominating Netflix.
As the first season, starring Park Eun Bin, Kang Tae Oh, and Kang Ki Young, is set to release its final two episodes this week, fans can now breathe knowing that this isn’t the last of the extraordinary attorney in action. President Lee thanked the show’s supporters. He then confirmed that season two would air some time in 2024. The process of adjusting all of the cast members and crew will pose a significant challenge.
Nonetheless, President Lee and ASTORY plan to proceed with season 2 without any cast member changes or changes to the production staff. While you wait, ASTORY plans on introducing various IPs related to the drama series. The webtoon version released earlier this month is also a part of that. Viewers can also expect that there’ll be an Extraordinary Attorney Woo musical in the future.
In other news, the series entered Netflix’s List of the Top 10 Most Popular Non-English Shows. The series reigns on top for the fifth time out of the six weeks in the top 10. It has 69.3 million hours viewed, higher than the 67 million hours it garnered in the previous week.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo is also in the top 10 in 51 countries. It joined the phenomenal series “Squid Game,” and All of Us Are Dead in the Top 10 Most Popular Non-English shows list “based on hours viewed in their first 28 days on Netflix.”
The series placed 8th with 288.62 million hours viewed within its first 28 days on the platform.
