Netflix confirmed the list of actors who will be part of their upcoming drama project “Goodbye Earth” on Thursday, January 13.
According to the announcement, actors Yoo Ah In and Ahn Eun Jin will work together with Jeon Seong Woo and Kim Yoon Hye for the apocalyptic drama.
“Goodbye Earth” will center on the story about the lives of four individuals dealing with the chaotic situations during the planet’s remaining 200 days before an asteroid collision.
Ahn Eun Jin will play the role of Jin Se Kyung, a former middle school tutor who will start volunteering with the Ungcheon City Hall to protect the kids from the looming danger. Yoo Ah In will star as Se Kyung’s longtime boyfriend Ha Yoon Sang. He works as a researcher in the US but risked his life by going back to South Korea to be with Se Kyung.
Jeon Seong Woo will portray the character named Woo Sung Jae, an assistant priest who must lead the church after the head priest disappears when he learned about the upcoming asteroid collision.
On the other hand, Kim Yoon Hye will star as Kan In Ah, a combat service support battalion commander who will go all over the city to help maintain order and distribute essentials to the public.
The upcoming Netflix series will be helmed by “My Name” director Kim Jin Min. The script is written by “Secret Love Affair” writer Jung Sung Joo. Preparations are currently ongoing to start filming in the coming days.
