An exciting new drama featuring actors Lee Sun Gyun and Moon Chae Won is in the works, a representative from SBS confirmed Wednesday, September 7.
The network revealed that the actors will lead the cast of the upcoming revenge drama “Beopjjeon,” set for release in the first half of 2023.
The drama centers on the story of revenge of people who are willing to take risks to defeat the “jjeon” or the money cartel that conspires with the people in power, or the “beop.”
Lee Sun Gyun will play the role of businessman Eun Yong. The hermit-like owner and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of a private equity fund that operates globally.
Meanwhile, Moon Chae Won will make a TV drama comeback after two years by playing the role of Army Major Park Joong Kyung. She is an elite judicial officer who graduated from the training institute and passed the bar consequently with flying honors.
“‘Beopjjeon’ has started its journey with the goal of premiering in the first half of 2023. All the cast and crew are doing their best to create a high-quality drama that will take over the drama [industry] in 2023. Please look forward to the new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Beopjjeon,’ which will be the outcome of everyone’s hard work and enthusiasm,” the representative from the show’s production team stated.
