KBS2 will put together actors Jang Dong Yoon, Chu Young Woo, and Seol In Ah in an upcoming drama titled “Oasis.”
The new drama features the story of three young adults who fiercely fought for their dreams, friendship, and their first love during the turbulent times in South Korea from the 1980s to the 1990s.
Jang Dong Yoon will play the character named Lee Doo Hak, a poor yet intelligent person. He fell instantly in love with s transferee student from Seoul named Oh Jung Shin.
Chu Young Woo will portray the role of Lee Doo Hak’s childhood friend and biggest rival Choi Chul Woong. He was very competitive and always wanted to be the No. 1 in school. However, he could not succeed in winning one girl’s attention.
On the other hand, Seol In Ah will play the role of the honest and daring Oh Jung Shin. She knew how to stand up against injustices.
According to the production team behind the show, “[The drama] will deliver new fun to this generation of viewers who are enthusiastic about and relate to the ’80s and ’90s, and we will give an immersive story to the older generations who remember those days. Please highly anticipate the story of youth depicted by Jang Dong Yoon, Seol In Ah, and Chu Young Woo, the three actors who were born in the ’90s.”
Filming for “Oasis” will start in September and premiere in KBS2 in the early part of 2023.
