NewJeans’ covers a timeless ballad as the original soundtrack for Netflix’s upcoming series “A Time Called You.”
According to their label ADOR, NewJeans would sing the remake of the popular 1995 ballad “Beautiful Restriction” by singer Kim Jong-Seo, famous for its candid lyrics of how one realizes they’ve started to fall in love with someone and seeing themselves change in the process.
This is the first time all NewJeans members participated in a song for an OST. In May, member Danielle sang the Korean cover of “Part of Your World” from the live adaptation of the film “The Little Mermaid.”
Netflix’s series “A Time Called You” is a time-travel love story of a woman who travels back in time after her lover dies and meets a different person with the exact face as her beloved. Based on the popular Taiwanese drama series “Someday or One Day” starring actors Jeon Yeo-Been and Ahn Hyo-Seop.
