Fresh from the success of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” actress Park Eun Bin will star in a new drama called “Diva of the Deserted Island” (literal title), production company Kakao Entertainment confirmed Thursday, February 9.
“Diva of the Deserted Island” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of a girl who found herself on a deserted island after an accident. She was discovered 15 years later, and then slowly find her way back to society after being isolated for so long.
Park Eun Bin will play the role of Seo Mok Ha, the girl who lived on a deserted island for 15 years. Her struggles to readapt to an unfamiliar world while pursuing her dreams as a singer will be the highlight of the story.
Previous reports claimed that Chae Jong Hyeop was tapped to play the male lead character Bo Geol. He has an affectionate personality and develops a deep connection with Seo Mok Ha.
“Diva of the Deserted Island” will start production in the first half of 2023. It will be helmed by “While You Were Sleeping” director Oh Choong Hwan.
