Park Soo Hong’s current condition is no laughing matter after the comedian was rushed to a hospital on Tuesday, October 4, to receive treatments due to the injuries he sustained after getting assaulted by his father.
The comedian’s lawyer and legal representative Noh Jong Eon explained that he was threatened and assaulted by his father while doing a cross-examination with the prosecution. The lawyer also said that Park Soo Hong was immediately taken to the emergency room after the incident.
According to reports, Park Soo Hong and his brother were scheduled to undergo cross-examination. The investigation is being conducted in connection to the embezzlement charges filed on his brother for embezzling approximately ₩11.6 billion from the comedian. The case was filed in September 8 and reached the prosecution in September 22.
Present during the investigation were the comedian’s father, identified as Mr. Park, and sister-in-law Ms. Lee to serve as witnesses.
Lawyer Noh Jong Eun recalled that Mr. Park attacked the comedian several times. He was reportedly kicked and received verbal threats from his father.
The comedian was immediately brought to the emergency room of Shinchon Yonsei Hospital after passing out due to stress. Fortunately, the injuries he sustained were not severe.
