Singer-songwriter Nam Taehyun got involved in another legal problem after police caught him driving while intoxicated around 3:20 a.m. in Gangnam on Wednesday, March 8.
Media outlets reported that police from Gangnam Police Station apprehended the former Winner main vocalist on the roadside of Seoul’s posh district.
According to the reports, the singer opened his car door while parking. The action allegedly hit a passing taxi, but the collision did not stop him from driving for approximately 20 meters from the accident spot.
The reports also mentioned that the side mirror of the taxi became damaged because of the collision.
Police immediately rushed to the accident site and tested the singer for alcohol. His breathalyzer test reportedly recorded 0.114%, a level high enough to revoke his driver’s license.
When asked about the reports, his agency No Name Music reportedly said that they have yet to confirm the incident.
“I haven’t heard anything about Nam Taehyun’s drunk driving. It’s something you don’t know at all. I guess I’ll have to check it out first. After he confirms it, I will tell you his position,” a representative from the agency said.
