The people behind Netflix’s upcoming series “You Have Done Well” (literal title) issued an apology after tourists and locals called them out due to the inconveniences brought by the production.
The issue started when a post was shared via an online community by a person who encountered the production while they were attending the Gochang Green Barley Field Festival. The drama is allegedly filming in a rapeseed field nearby.
According to the person, they were prevented from accessing a particular part of the field because of the ongoing production, so they decided to go to another spot to take photos of the rapeseed flowers. While the production was far from that area, they were asked not to take any pictures.
Other people who attended the festival also shared the same experiences. While the drama title was not mentioned, it was eventually revealed to be “You Have Done Well,” the new project featuring IU and Park Bo Gum.
Due to the backlash, the drama’s production company Pan Entertainment released a statement to apologize for the inconvenience.
“First off, we want to sincerely apologize to citizens who have experienced inconveniences. We tried to minimize inconvenience in the process of safe filming and preventing spoilers from leaking, but we apologize once again for failing to pay closer attention to those who spent their valuable time visiting [the festival],” the agency said. “We deeply thank citizens for being understanding of our filming and we will work hard to be more careful in our filming process in the future too.”
Filming for “You Have Done Well” is still ongoing at the moment.
