Seventeen’s 10th EP, “FML,” set a new record in the music industry after it sold nearly 4 million copies on its first day.

According to music industry sources, “FML” set a new record for first-week sales by a Kpop album. Hante Chart, South Korea’s leading local tracker for album sales, stated “FML” sold 3,998,300 copies in less than 24 hours after its release on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 6 pm.

The previous record was held by KPop supergroup BTS, whose album “Map of the Soul: 7,” sold 3,378,600 copies in its first week. Both groups are from music labels under HYBE.

With this achievement, Seventeen became the only KPop act to surpass 3 million copies on the first day of its album’s release. “FML” is said to be an album with the positive message of not giving up in our most difficult times. The EP comprises six tracks with two main singles, “F*ck my Life” and “Super.”
