Actress Song Ji Hyo pushed through with her legal action against former agency Uzurocks due to unpaid income by filing a case this week.
Media outlets discovered that the actress filed a lawsuit on Tuesday, May 2, after Uzurocks failed to fulfill its promise of paying all of her unpaid income on May 1.
Song Ji Hyo ended her exclusive contract with the agency on April 14, after learning about its dwindling financial state and failing to pay the wages of both artists and employees. The company also reportedly failed to meet several legal employment requirements, including health insurance.
Uzurocks issued a statement shortly after the financial struggles became public in early April. They admitted that they neglected their responsibilities toward the actress and other artists like her “Running Man” co-star Ji Suk Jin.
Aside from the apology, the agency’s CEO Park Joo Nam also quit his position.
