The Bangtan Boys are staying home this time.
After The Recording Academy and CBS announced the postponement of the 64th Annual Grammy Awards Show on Wednesday, January 5 (US time), Big Hit Music announced that the world-famous Kpop idols will no longer pursue their flight to the US.

“We were preparing to attend the awards ceremony, but we stopped discussion after hearing the news of the postponement,” a rep from the agency stated.
BTS, composed of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, is nominated for the second consecutive year for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their single “Butter” at the 2022 Grammy Awards. They were first nominated for their hit “Dynamite” in 2021.
The 2022 Grammy Awards was originally scheduled to take place in Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, on January 31. But due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, the prestigious musical awards show had to be rescheduled.
The BTS members are currently on an extended break after their successful series of concerts in Los Angeles in late 2021. Three of the members, namely Suga, RM, and Jin also tested positive and recovered from the virus early in January 2022.
Meanwhile, Big Hit Music reassured Seoul ARMYs that the boys will push through with the March concert in South Korea.
