Heo Sung Tae’s management agency Hanahreum Company announced Friday, January 14, that the ’Squid Game’ star will be part of JTBC’s upcoming drama “Insider.”
The upcoming project is an action-suspense drama about the life of judicial trainee Kim Yo Han, to be played by actor Kang Ha Neul. His world turns upside down while doing an undercover investigation about a corrupt prosecutor. While spending time in prison, he starts to seek revenge for all the betrayal he experienced.
According to the agency, the seasoned actor will portray the role of chief prosecutor Yoon Byung Wook, a one-of-a-kind character with a split personality. On the outside, he is an awkward loner who has a hard time looking others in the eye. But on the inside, he is a ruthless person who will do everything for his selfish gain.
Lee Yoo Young will also join the series as underground businesswoman Oh Soo Yeon. She will present Kim Yo Han with an irresistible offer.
“Insider” is scheduled to premiere in late 2022.
