The wait will soon be over for BLACKPINK’s much-awaited second full-length studio album “BORN PINK,” as the band gears up for its release.
On Wednesday, August 24, the band’s agency YG Entertainment confirmed that members Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé are currently in an area in Gyeonggi province to film the music video for their second album. The agency also mentioned that the love and support received from fans all over the world uplifts the group’s spirits.
According to a YG Entertainment representative, “All the songs in the album will write BLACKPINK’s new history, but the title track, in particular, will be a song that can shock global music fans. The music video will also raise the status of K-pop with a novelty that has yet to be seen.”
Just last week, the sensational girl group proved that they are one of the biggest K-pop acts in the world scene with the unprecedented release of their new single “Pink Venom.”
Aside from being 2022’s biggest 24-hour debut for a music video after getting over 90 million views, the pre-release track also became the first Korean song and first track from a girl group that landed on Spotify’s Global Top Songs top spot during its debut.
BLACKPINK will drop “BORN PINK” on September 16.
