BLACKPINK member Jennie surprised fans by revealing an unexpected teaser for the release of her special solo track “You & Me” on Wednesday, October 4.
According to the teaser, the track first heard during BLACKPINK’s massively successful “BORN PINK” world tour will be officially released on various music sites at 1 p.m. KST on Friday, October 6. A pre-save link is also posted on the group’s social media sites.
The track earned an overwhelming response from BLINKs and other attendees of the BLACKPINK concerts all over the world each time Jennie performs it on her solo stage.
In a statement, YG Entertainment explained why they decided to release the song.
“We decided to officially release it out of gratitude to the fans who ardently followed and supported us during the ‘Born Pink’ world tour. We hope it will serve as a special memento, rekindling the emotion of that time,” the label stated.
Jennie also revealed in recent interviews that she is working on an upcoming album at the moment.
