That’s right, TvN’s popular action series “The Uncanny Counter” will have a second season and premiere in the latter half of this year.
According to the Korea Times, all five leads who played “counters” will return and star in the series. The Uncanny Counter Season 2 is scheduled to air on the Saturday and Sunday in the second half of 2023.
The Uncanny Counter is based on the webcomic “Amazing Rumor,” a fantasy action series on the story of a teenager, So-mun, who joins a group of exorcists with special abilities called “counters” and battle evil spirits.
The first season aired in 2020 and garnered immense popularity, scoring a whopping 11 percent viewership on its final episode.
Season 2 will return with new cast members, including Jin Seon-kyu from “Bargain,” Kang Ki-young from “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” Kim Hieora from “The Glory,” and Yoo In-soo from “All of Us Are Dead.”
According to the reports, Jin will be a firefighter who will save the protagonist, So-mun’s life. Kang and Kim Hieora will be the villains who intend to go against the counters. Yoo will be the new addition to the counters.
