Boy group Tomorrow X Together (TXT) is set to be the first Korean idol group to headline Lollapalooza, one of the largest U.S. music festivals, held annually in Chicago.
TXT takes the main stage on August 5, at 8:30 KST, and marks the first time a KPop band will headline the event. Following BTS J-Hope headlining Lollapalooza last year, they are the second Koreact act to make this feat.
Lollapalooza is a four-day festival estimated to draw 400,000 people annually. The U.S. festival has featured many prominent global artists and recently opened its doors to Korean acts.
After their North American festival debut at Lollapalooza 2022, TXT returns as headliners only one year later, reflecting their meteoric rise on the global music scene.
According to reports, TXT’s performance is scheduled to last 90 minutes, and the group is preparing an intricate stage setup to energize an outdoor audience. The group’s set will revolve around the themes of “youth” and “rock,” radiating positive, feel-good energy. It will also feature many of their hit tracks, enhanced by a live band and other acoustic arrangements. TXT will also perform their hit summer track “Do It Like That” and teases a joint performance with hip-hop artist Coi Leray.
Fans can watch the whole performance on Weverse LIVE Streaming, and U.S. fans may watch through Hulu.
