After appearing in the highly successful drama “Twenty Five, Twenty One,” actor Choi Min Young landed a meaty role that will launch his international career.
Fans of Netflix’s “To All The Boys” trilogy know that Kitty (Anna Cathcart), the younger sister of Lara Jean (Lana Condor), met a boy named Dae in Seoul during the family’s trip to their late mother’s homeland in “To All the Boys: Always and Forever.” While Dae was only seen for a few seconds in the film, the character made a huge impact since he and Kitty stayed in touch and went on to have a long-distance relationship.
Dae was portrayed by actor Jeon Ho Young in the movie. But when Netflix announced a spin-off series featuring Kitty’s adventure as a student in Seoul, the production team announced that Choi Min Young will take over the role.
The production for the spin-off series titled “XO, Kitty” is currently underway. Lead star Anna Cathcart is already in Seoul to film her scenes for several months. She was even posting photos to update the fans on her Instagram account.
Other cast members for the upcoming spin-off include Anthony Keyvan as the queen extrovert named Q, Lee Sang Heon as the handsome ex-pat named Min Ho, and Gia Kim as Kitty’s friend Gia Kim.
Filming for “XO, Kitty” started on March 28, 2022. Netflix has yet to announce the release date for the upcoming series.
