Actor Woo Do Hwan may soon star in an upcoming drama with Park Sung Woong once he gets discharged from his mandatory military service.
On Tuesday, November 2, reports claimed that the actor will become one of the actors in “Hunting Dogs,” a Netflix original series. Woo Do Hwan’s agency KeyEast corrected the report, saying that he was still positively reviewing the offer.
Meanwhile, a source from Park Sung Woong’s management agency C-JeS confirmed that “The Deal” actor will also star in the same drama.
“Hunting Dogs,” also called “Hounds,” is reportedly an action noir series adapted from a webtoon with the same title. It centers on the story of three men whose lives intertwine as they attempt to get out of debt. It will be written and directed by “The Divine Fury” and “Midnight Runners” director Kim Joo Hwan.
Woo Do Hwan is serving his duty in the military since July 6, 2020. But a source from his management agency revealed that he is currently on leave from the military since October 31 and he does not have to return to the base until his discharge on January 5.
The actor received positive praises for his roles in “Mad Dog” and “My Country: The New Age.” He was last seen in the hit drama “The King: Eternal Monarch” before enlisting in the military.
Meanwhile, Park Sung Woong has been part of numerous outstanding noir projects in the past. Some of his notable projects include “New World” and “For the Emperor.” He recently finished shooting for the film “The Protector,” which will be actor Jung Woo Sung’s debut as a movie director.
Netflix is set to release “Hunting Dogs” as an eight-part series. It will be co-produced by Studio N and Seed Films.
