Despite the post author’s apology, Yoo Yeon-Seok’s label will continue with legal action.
In a telephone conversation with Dispatch, his label King Kong by Starship said they’ve hired an attorney and will proceed with the complaint. Yoo Yeon-seok’s label will proceed with the criminal complaint on charges of defamation, holding anonymous poster A responsible for his initial post. A’s post, claiming his father was insulted and ignored by Yoo Yeon-Seok when he worked as an apartment security guard, was proved not only out of date but also out of context.
His label released the details. Six to seven years ago, Yoo Yeon-Seok lived in an officetel and remembered being on friendly terms with the guard, still recognizing the guard’s face. The label relayed that the two greeted each other and exchanged gifts every holiday. The writer’s claim makes no sense.
According to A’s article, the actor was warming up to ride with his friends when he insulted the security guard. Due to the structure of the officetel, it wasn’t possible to ride several bicycles. They also noted that Yoo never rode with his friends.
Should the police investigation proceed, A’s identity will be released. In response, Mr. A revised their post and said they didn’t write the apology letter under the same pen name and that their father didn’t quit being a security guard because of Yoo Yeon-Seok.
